Shalimar is a town of 737 people in less than a third of a square mile, started in 1943-1944 as Port Dixie, a platted community of 160 houses for military officers, and incorporated in June 1947. It is 10.6 road miles from our office by way of State Road 393, Beal Parkway and Eglin Parkway.
